How to Fix proxy server settings?
A proxy allows you to surf the web with the help of an intermediary server that can boost performance and provide a level of security for you. Most of the time, if you need to change or fix your proxy server settings, it is the result of your network administrator request. Popular browsers allow you to change your proxy settings with a few clicks of your mouse.
Fix proxy server settings.
Start your Internet Explorer.
Hit "Tools" in the main menu bar.
Scroll down and hit "Internet Options."
Hit the "Connections" tab.
Select "LAN settings."
Place or remove a check mark in the box next to "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Review the address in the "Address" field for your proxy server. View and edit, if necessary, the number of the port in the "Port" field.
Hit the "Advanced" button to view and edit individual proxy server addresses.
Hit the "OK" button, close all windows and restart your browser.
Start your Firefox browser.
Scroll down and click "Options."
Hit the "Advanced" tab. Click the "Network" tab. Hit the "Settings" button.
Choose "No Proxy, " "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network, " "Manual proxy Configuration" or "Automatic proxy configuration URL" with the radio button.
View and edit the server names and port numbers if your selection in Step 5 was "Manual proxy configuration."
